resource is available by free open access to students and others in
eligible developing countries.
ICTP, a UNESCO and IAEA affiliated organization, is the authorized
host site.

More about the International
Student Edition...
- A list of eligible Developing Countries is
here.
If your country is not on this list, and you wish to access
Numerical Recipes Electronic, you will need an
individual or
institutional
subscription. Alternatively, you can purchase
the physical book.
- If your country is on the list, you also need to be connected
to the Internet with an IP address that our server recognizes as
unique to your country. If you think that our server's database is
in error please contact us.
- You will need to re-validate your machine by opening the
validation
document every 180 days.
- You can print, download, and save book sections on any
validated machine. You will be able to read downloaded sections
on a validated machine even when you are not connected to the Internet.
Tips on using the navigation bar...
- You might find it easiest to start from the Table of Contents.
- Or, click on a chapter number in the navigation bar to expand its
sections.
- Then, click on a section number to display that section.
- Hover on links in the navigation bar to see chapter and section titles.
- The Index contains live links to individual book pages.
- ←Back returns you to the section you last visited. Forward→
undoes ←Back.
- Use standard Adobe/Acrobat Reader buttons to search within a section,
to print sections, or to save local copies to your machine.
- Windows, Macintosh OSX, and most Linux systems are supported. We
hope to support Solaris in the future.

links in the following index files. Most browsers will give you a choice of viewing or saving
to disk.
